The Sunroom:  Sponsored by a local book group that has personally experienced some of what Alice’s House offers, the sunroom is a cozy, warm space, perfect for curling up with a good book or napping in the sunshine. In lieu of a name for the sun room space, the book club asked that we leave a quote on the sun room that says: “At the end of the day, all you need is hope and strength. Hope that it will get better and strength to hold on until it does.”

The Kitchen:  The kitchen is where memories and meals are made. Nothing could be truer for the Tedeschi Family. The kitchen at Alice’s House was sponsored as a Christmas Gift from Kathleen Tedeschi’s children, as a tribute to her and the role she played in creating memories for them that they have been able to build upon with their own families.

They named the space “Karmma@the Beach.”

Everything you could ever need is here in the kitchen at Alice’s House. Room to feed a large family, plenty of prep and storage space and a vibrant, whimsical energy that can’t help but make you feel at home.

Living Room:  The peace and tranquility of Alice’s House is embodied in this living space right off the kitchen. With unobstructed views of the water from many different angles, sliding glass doors that open onto the deck facing the beach and several conversation groupings, this space was named “Just Happy To Be” by the rooms sponsors, Ann and Del Berrada. Ann and Del’s intentions that this space be judgement free and a place to release worry has been accomplished with the artful decorating and soothing color palette. Sink into the soothing plush couches and let the “Alice’s House Effect ” begin to work its magic!

Deck:  The family of Kathleen McGrory is pleased to sponsor this beautiful deck in honor of her memory.

“We all grew up along the ocean and appreciate the gifts it brings to each of us during times of joy and heartache.”

Kathleen waged a valiant 4 year battle with cancer but sadly passed away in 2011 at the age of 59.  She was truly a beautiful person, inside and out, and lived a life of love laughter, courage, generosity and dignity.

During her fight against multiple myeloma, she received a card of encouragement with the following quotation:

Life Isn’t About Waiting For The Storm To Pass…It’s About Learning  To Dance In The Rain —Vivian Greene

This quote truly reflects Kathleen’s attitude and spirit and continues to live on in all of us.  She made the most out of every day and is an inspiration to all who love her.  We hope these words will inspire the guests who will enjoy sitting on this beautiful deck enjoying the ocean breezes.
